Wintertime we offer guided Deep Sea Fishing and snowmobile driving to our ice fishing lakes. All adventures safely guided in this virgin, desert arctic nature. 3 bedrooms with single beds in each Rorbu Cottage, complete equipped kitchen with dishwasher, living room, flatscreen tv, wc/bathroom, entrance hall and a fantastic panorama view of Mehamn Harbour The Rorbu Cottages are built on the pier with outdoor furniture and a separate storing room for fishing equipment and a drying room for outdoor clothes. Bed sheets and towels are included For more simple living we also offer a Youth Hostel with 5 rooms with sea view and totally 12 Beds. Shared pentry Kitchen, 2 separate Shower/wc rooms and roof covered Balcony with harbour and landside view. The Nature is spectacular, arctic and unlike all other parts of Norway THE DEEP SEA FISHING The Sea Fishing is taking place in the food rich Barents Sea, which holds incredible amounts of fish. Here you can still adventure the fishing as it was in the good old days! The fishing in the area are relatively unexplored for many species and sports fishing at sea is a new term in this area.
The halibut fishing is good with records of 200 kg.
Camp Record Halibut of 150 Kg, Catched and released, was taken by team Mieko Fishing Sweden June 2017. Other arts like Skrei Cod, Cod, Wolf fish, Haddock, Pollock, Spotted Wolf Fish, Place and Rays are living in the Barents Sea outside the Camp
The Nordic Safari local Guides are specialized in guided Halibut tours and shares the positions of the fishing grounds for the different species with the guests. The guides are also answering questions or do the guiding to the fishing grounds. For fishing in these waters you should use solid equipment! Fishing rods and Floating Suits are offered to rent at the front desk. Check Seamap Mehamn Coast: THE BOATS The safe and steady 23 feet, off center cockpit, rental boats With 80-115 HP Yamaha 4 stroke outboard motors,are equipped with Lowrance HD 8 Map plotters with Echo sounder. Capacity of 4 fishermen.
For extra safety each boat is equipped with AIS Automatic Identification System. The AIS system enables the front desk of the camp and other boats to see your boats position, speed and course, all the time during your fishing. This is a good safety which enhances your safety and fun on the water. Your friends and family can also see your boats position live on the AIS internet site.Webcam The boats are equipped with reliable Yamaha four stroke motors from 80 to 115 HP The boats are moored up in The Adventure Camp marina, just 50 metres from your Rorbu Cottage. The Halibut Marina The Adventure Camp Mehamn also offer an alternative to trailer your boat to the fjords south of Mehamn where you canrent a place foryour rental boat,If you want to fish spesific for Halibut or in cases of hard winds at the coast outside of Mehamn This ensures your ability to fish all days during your stay. ALTERNATIVE FISHING In the nature near Mehamn you will find Salmon rivers and hundreds of smaller lakes with rich amounts of Arctic Char and Trout.
